How To Store
Our Macadamia White needs to be kept in the fridge. We recommend below 4'C
Our Macadamia White has a 4 month shelf life as long as it is kept refrigerated. Once opened, it can last for up to 2 months; just ensure you're using a clean reciprocal to take it out of the jar. We don’t use any artificial preservatives in our cheese and the result is a natural product. It's longevity comes from the fermentation process and the delicious blend of organic oil.
Our cheese can be torn onto a salad, or served with soup like a crème fraîche. It can be stirred into a béchamel sauce, or whipped up with chocolate for a delicious fermented chocolate pudding. One of our favourite ways to eat it is grilled in a mushroom toastie with kale and truffle oil.
Our Environmental Policy
We are committed as a company to be sustainably conscious as possible in all of our decision making. All of our retail and delivery packaging (including our jars, boxes, and labels) is made from recycled, recyclable, and/or biodegradable materials, as well as being PVC free. Most of our suppliers also use sustainable packaging and we will recycle everything that we can.
We love to hear suggestions of how we can improve and if you have anything environment or sustainability related that you’d like to chat to us about then please drop us a line!
We are committed to much more than organic certifications. When sourcing our ingredients, we look at the entire value chain and gradually develop the most sustainable product we can. We recognise it is a constant ongoing process.
Currently, right now we are seeing a lot of issues with cashews in the press. Workers are being exploited and are often subject to toxic substances during the picking process. We source our cashews from 'The Gebana Project', you can read more about them here:
They really are fantastic, working directly with farmers; and ensuring people are treated properly and fairly.
